In many ways, praying is similar to sending an e-mail to God. There are a few rules to follow or your prayer will not successfully get to God.
1. You have to send it to the right address
Your prayers have to be addressed to GOD. Not just any god, but to YAHWEH, the GOD of Abraham, the GOD of the Holy Bible.
2. You have to send it to the right URL.
@JesusChrist.com or is the only URL that works. GOD@anything.com just will not get your prayer sent. Your prayers must be sent via Jesus (Yeshua) or they will not be heard by GOD.
GOD@JesusChrist.com (Yahweh@Yeshua.com)is the ONLY address that will work.
3. You have to sign up with the right Internet Service Provider (ISP)
The Holy Spirit must be your ISP. The Holy Spirit has "infinite" bandwidth.
With "infinite" bandwitdth you can pray with "all" of your being and truly connect with GOD
4. The "content" of your prayer is very important.
The Bible says that you can ask for "anything", but there are a few critical guidelines:
Consistent content. Your prayers must be consistent with His word. For example, you can't pray for someone to die. It's inconsistent with His word. That is why it is important to read the Bible and to find out exactly what GOD said.
Correct motivation. Pray in the Will of GOD, not in fleshly desires.
Honest from your heart. You don't need to pray with flowerly language to impress others, but rather with the true expression of your heart. Your prayer can be as simple as a groan. GOD knows what you want.
Also, just because you sent the prayer using all of these guidelines, it doesn't mean that GOD will respond immediately. He checks all of the prayers that are sent to him, but He may not immediately answer directly to your "inbox" or in the form you thought he would.
We hope this analogy has been a blessing to you and your prayer life.
Please let us know how it is going for you by sending an e-mail to us at clayconner@cableone.net.
